Good questions

Frequently asked

If your question is not here, write to us: a real person answers within a working day.

About the pieces

Why does my piece look different from the photograph?

Because a person made it rather than a machine. Glaze pools differently on every pot, grain runs differently through every board, and a hand-thrown rim is never perfectly round. Photographs show a representative example; yours will be its own thing.

Are the pieces food safe?

Most pieces are worked in mercerised cotton, which is colourfast and washes well. Baby items use a soft merino or cotton blend. Resin trays are sealed and food-safe for dry items, but are not made to hold liquid or go in a dishwasher. Every listing states its materials under Details.

Can I order a set?

Yes: but pieces in a set will vary slightly from one another, which is rather the appeal. If you need a closely matched set, contact us and we will pick pieces fired in the same batch.

Ordering & payment

What payment methods do you take?

Cash on Delivery across Pakistan, and card or wallet payments through Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own secure page: they never reach our servers.

Do I need an account?

No. You can check out as a guest. An account simply lets you track orders, save addresses and keep a wishlist.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes, any time before it ships: just contact us. Once a parcel is with the courier we cannot recall it, but you can return it under our returns policy.

Commissions

Will you make something to my specification?

Often, yes. Send dimensions, a glaze or wood preference and any reference images. We will come back with a sketch, a price and a timeline: usually three to four weeks.

Do you take wholesale or bulk orders?

For cafés, hotels and shops, yes. Bear in mind that hand production has real limits: a potter throws roughly forty pieces a week, not four hundred.

Care

How do I look after wooden pieces?

Wipe rather than soak, keep out of the dishwasher, and refresh with a food-safe oil every few months. Wood that is looked after outlasts everything else in the kitchen.

Can ceramics go in the dishwasher?

Cotton pieces can be hand washed cool and dried flat. Anything with pearls, a chain strap or glued embellishment should be spot cleaned only, never submerged. The listing always says which.
